Asia’s largest Tulip garden is gearing up for a vibrant season, featuring five new tulip varieties. The Floriculture Department’s efforts aim to enhance the garden’s allure for global tourists. Commissioner Secretary Floriculture, Sheikh Fayaz Ahmad, highlighted the addition of these varieties, bringing the total to 73.
Anticipating a significant rise in tourist visits, he emphasized the completion of groundwork and additional parking space. The Tulip Garden, a source of pride for the department, is expected to draw more visitors, contributing to the flourishing tourism sector in Jammu and Kashmir. The meeting addressed various enhancements, ensuring the parks are well-maintained and equipped for a delightful visitor experience.Sheikh Fayaz urged officers to swiftly complete ongoing works and assigned the Director Floriculture the task of closely supervising their execution. The meeting highlighted the addition of multi-activity children’s equipment to seven more parks, totaling 14.
Director Floriculture Kashmir, Farooq Ahmad Rather, emphasized the department’s commitment to providing an enjoyable experience for children in parks. He instructed officers to vigilantly monitor the equipment, promptly replacing any damaged items to ensure the safety of children.
