Northern Railways has announced a significant relief for train passengers in the Kashmir valley by lowering ticket prices to pre-COVID times, as per officials.

According to a high-ranking railway official, railways in Kashmir have resumed offering Second Class Ordinary Fares on passenger trains, as reported by the KNO.
The fare charges have been reduced by almost 40 percent, bringing them back to pre COVID levels, as stated by him. He further disclosed that the ticket farre from Sadura station to Srinagar used to cost Rs 35, but now it is priced at Rs 15.

He stated that there were errors in the system at several locations, resulting in rate cuts being implemented across all stations.
